Pancake House’s Pork Vienna
17Dec07

I think Pancake House is in dire need of a makeover. Their decor is dowdy, their furniture badly-scuffed, and their menu needs an overhaul (especially the steaks). Well, at least they still get their pancakes right, and this one, which is the only thing I order these days whenever we eat there. Porkchop cooked Viennese style has this distinct taste in the breading, and works well when you squeeze lemon juice on top of it. The fat is trimmed off and there’s a side dish of coleslaw to complete the meal. Despite the appearance of the restaurant, I consider this dish one of my comfort foods.

For a taste of comfort food, Pancake House is in a class of its own (Parang if ur abroad and u miss home. U wish u could eat Jollibee right there and then). But i agree with u that it is in DIRE need of a make-over, an overhaul even. Got a bad xperience at PH Greenhills pa nga last November 07. Their cashier ba (or maybe the waitress?) charged us for food we didn’t eat. So to all eaters, PH or not, always, always, always check your bill. Don’t just pull money or your credit card out of ur wallet (just so u could leave agad or maybe u want to talk more to your date that u don’t notice there’s a mistake na!)
yeah that’s something you should always do when eating out. i’m really lazy when it comes to that, though. my brother or my husband checks the bill for me.
